I’ve already talked about this in a previous post, but Pocoyo just keeps on growing. This time around, I want to focus on the United States, where we’ve recently signed new and important licensing deals for the brand. We already had a number of first-class partners in the country, like Bandai America (toys), Random House Children’s Books (publishing), Bentex Group (textiles), and TCG (puzzles and games).
And, for the next three years, Zinkia will become a content provider for LeapFrog, the most popular multimedia platform for children in the US, which is also available in countries like Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and France. To begin with, the first two seasons of Pocoyo will be available to watch online, as well as a 25-minute short film called ‘Pocoyo and the Space Circus’.
Last, but not least, the roster of Pocoyo licensees in the US has increased thanks to the incorporation of: Buy Seasons, who will sell Pocoyo party-themed products and accessories online; Pioneer Balloon Company, who, unsurprisingly, will distribute balloons; Baby Boom Consumer Products, who will be marketing children’s bed linen; and JCP Live Productions, who specialize in costumes.
With these new deals, there are more than 200 Pocoyo licensees worldwide and more than 5,000 product lines. Not too shabby, right?
